THIS GIRL CAN
Ten clubs have already signed up to run girls-only Dynamos Cricket this summer, and the Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation are hoping more will register before the start of the season.
The Dynamos initiative is an entry-level, fully inclusive version of the sport aimed at 8-11 year-olds who use soft balls and a light wooden bat.
And the GCF hope that girls-only teams, leading to playing in girls-only leagues, will attract more junior school-aged youngsters to the sport.
For further details, contact Laura Charles-Price, the GCF’s Women’s and Girls Development Officer, on 07554 452226.
