He was the 2nd team captain for several seasons. A Level 2.5 qualified coach, Razi spent over a decade as Director of Youth Cricket, overseeing the development of one of the largest and most successful youth programmes in the county. He currently serves as Chair of the club.
Razi made his debut for Gloucestershire County Seniors in 2016 and was part of the championship-winning teams in 2019 and 2021. He captained the Over 50s 1st XI until 2023 and was appointed Chair at the 2023 AGM. Since then, with his newly formed committee, he has led significant growth and transformation, including strengthening governance structures, improving processes, internal and external communications, establishing the senior women’s programme, and enhancing relationships with sponsors and key partners, including GCF and GCCC.
Razi went to represent the England Seniors in 2024 and has since played international cricket fixtures for England against Australia, the USA, West Indies, Wales and Scotland.

Bill Church / Gloucestershire Seniors Secretary
Bill’s love of cricket was ignited by watching the wonderful West Indian team in 1963 (when you could watch Test Cricket on terrestrial TV!) It grew from there to playing “Test Matches” in the garden!
He started playing regularly when he went to college where he was fortunate enough to play with many talented cricketers. After college, Bill ended up in Gloucestershire and started playing for Slimbridge. He has been fortunate to play for many different touring teams all over the country and abroad.
Bill started playing for Gloucestershire Seniors in 2013 and now captains the Over 60s third team. He took over the club secretary role in the newly formed Gloucestershire County Seniors Cricket Committee.
Len Attard / Gloucestershire Seniors Liaison Manager
Len started playing for Glos 50+ in 2003 and was shortly afterwards asked to manage the team. Since then, he has overseen the introduction of seven more teams at 50s,60s and 70s age groups. Len has been instrumental in the development and growth of the County Seniors set-up.
Len has played for Apperley CC, his local Club, since 1978 with the highlight being Captain at Lords in the National Village KO in 1998.
Currently holds the role of Cricket Liaison Manager in the committee, organising the Seniors cricket tour to Spain each year since 2015 and the Annual Seniors Dinner. He represents Gloucestershire on the Management Committee of the National 60s/70s Competition and the 50+ 2s Competition.
Steve Pennington / Gloucestershire Seniors Treasurer
Since making his debut for Gloucestershire CCC Seniors in 2012, Steve has now played over 150 games for the county across the 50+ and 60+ 1st and 2nd teams and is one of the small group of players to achieve the ‘double’ of 1000 runs and 100 wickets. He is currently captain of the over 60’s 2nd XI, leading the side to the National Championship in 2025, and was the initial driving force behind the club’s recent, very successful, tours to India.
In his role of Finance Manager, he has a key focus on developing sponsorship and fundraising opportunities together with ensuring long term financial security.
His club cricket has been played at Oldlands CC since 1974, having been part of the side that made the rise to finish runners up in Division 1 of the Gloucestershire County League in 2009, only to slip back into Division 5 over recent years. A keen golfer and padel player, Steve is also a long-suffering Gas season ticket holder and a big fan of Gloucestershire Cricket.
Phil Edge / Gloucestershire Seniors Player Relationship Manager
Phil joined the Gloucestershire Seniors in 2015, and has represented the Over 50’s 1st, 2nd and 3rd XI’s during his Senior’s career to date. He was vice-captain of the 50’s 2nd XI when they secured the Southern Counties Senior Championship in 2019 and 2021, and is looking forward to progressing to the Over 60’s teams in the 2024 season.
He recently took on the role of Player Relationship Manager in the newly formed Glos Seniors Management Committee, recruiting 26 new players for the 2024 season, and will be working with all age group captains and individual players as required during the 2024 season.
He plays his cricket at Hatherley and Reddings CC, having represented all 4 league teams since he joined the club in his early 30’s, captaining the 2nd, 3rd & 4th XI’s during that time. He is a keen golfer and avid Liverpool FC fan, regularly travelling throughout Europe following the fortunes of his team, and with his limited spare time he enjoys spending time with his 2 children and 3 grandchildren.
Ian Robson / Gloucestershire Seniors Club Relationship Manager
Ian started playing regularly for Glos Seniors in 2022, playing in the O50s 2s before being promoted to the O50s 1s. He is a top order batter, and has notched a number of decent scores for the seniors, including his first overseas hundred on the Glos Seniors pre-season tour to Spain in 2023! He looks forward to joining the O60s this season.
The main role of the Club Relationship Manager is to find grounds to host Glos Seniors home matches. Across our 9 teams we play in excess of 50 home games in the season and we are fortunate that there are over 25 Gloucestershire clubs that allow us to use their facilities for these matches. If your club would like to host a seniors county match then please do get in touch, we are always on the look out for new host clubs.
Ian plays his club cricket at Corse & Staunton CC, where he was proud to be 1st XI skipper when C&S were first promoted to WEPL back in 2012. Ian’s early cricket career was in Essex and he spent many years playing in the Surrey Championship for Horsley & Send CC.
Maris Fowler / Gloucestershire Women's Seniors
Maria took on the role of women’s captain when the Gloucestershire Senior Women’s Squad was set up in 2025.
She has played cricket since the aged of 13, primarily as a batter but can wicket keep and bowl in desperation! She has represented the counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire at junior level and Warwickshire and Gloucestershire at women’s level. She is also a level 2 coach.
She also captains her club women’s team at Old Bristolians Westbury Cricket Club. In this role she’s passionate about bringing talented youngsters into the women’s set up. She also plays hockey during the winter. She has two young boys aged 4 and 6 and works full time at Lloyds Banking Group as a corporate tax adviser.
