What is All Stars Cricket?

The nationwide programme, which has been created by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), will enable children aged 5 to 8 years old to acquire the skills to play the game and connect them to England’s cricketing heroes.

All Stars Cricket offers eight weeks of coaching in a safe and inclusive environment, with the focus on having fun and making friends.

All girls and boys are welcome, and each registered child will receive a pack of cricket goodies.  First year signups will receive a cricket bat, ball, backpack and personalized shirt to keep, so that they can continue their love of cricket when they go home. Returners have the option to tailor their equipment and have the option of a set of stumps.

All Stars Cricket will provide your child with all of the fundamental skills they need to play cricket through, lively, fun games.

In Gloucestershire, we had 79 cricket clubs running All Stars and/or Dynamos Cricket in 2023. This, added to community programmes delivered by us at the GCF resulted in 4,201 children signed up across both programmes in 2023.

Clubs that sign up will receive a brand new equipment bag once they reach 10 signups. The GCF will work closely with you to ensure you have everything in place, ready for your first session.

For any club who would like more information about how this all works, please contact Chris Munden, contact details below.

Parent engagement: experience the fun and excitement of All Stars Cricket at home

All Stars activities are a great way to keep your child active around the house and in your garden. There are eight different challenges for you and your child to take part in and all you need is a bat and a ball. Even if you don’t have that equipment don’t worry, you can always use a rolled-up pair of socks as a ball and a rolled-up magazine as a bat – be imaginative!

In addition, why not also download our All Stars Cricket Activity booklet which comes with loads of tips to help you make the most of the garden games, and even more challenges and quizzes.
