Inclusive Cricket for Adults of All Abilities

We are proud to offer Disability Cricket for Adults across Gloucestershire, including, Tewkesbury, Forest of Dean, City of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, Cotswold, and Douth Gloucestershire. These programmes are open to care service providers, community organisations, and individuals.  

At Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation, we believe cricket is a game for everyone. Our Adult Disability Cricket programme provides opportunities for adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions to enjoy cricket in a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. 

Whether you’re new to the game or an experienced player, our hubs across Gloucestershire offer a place to play, make friends, and be part of a supportive community. 

What is Adult Disability Cricket?

Adult Disability Cricket is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all abilities. Sessions are tailored to suit individual needs, with formats ranging from fun, social softball cricket to competitive hardball matches. Our focus is on participation, wellbeing, and creating positive experiences through sport. 

Who Can Play?

Our programme is open to any adult (16+) with a disability or long-term health condition. There is no previous cricket experience is required, you can just come along and give it a try! 

Where Can You Play?

We’re developing Adult Disability Cricket Hubs across Gloucestershire to make cricket more accessible than ever. These hubs provide regular sessions, coaching, and opportunities to play in festivals and competitions.

Josh Graves / Community Engagement Officer

Josh joined the Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation in October 2025 after moving from Staffordshire, where he completed his Masters in Sports Psychology. He also holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Chester.
 
In his role as Community Engagement Officer, Josh oversees the Foundation’s community cricket programmes, from walking cricket to table cricket, helping to create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game.
 
Inspired by England’s 2019 World Cup triumph, Josh is passionate about introducing cricket to those who may not have previously seen it as a sport for them. He aims to make cricket accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone involved.
 
Based in Cheltenham, Josh enjoys running in his spare time and takes pride in seeing people’s passion for cricket grow across local communities.
