County Girls
The Foundation run performance squads for Girls from U11 to U18, which includes a winter training programme and summer matches.
The Girl’s Performance Programme covers the age groups of under 11, under 13, under 15 and under 18. Supporting these are Development Squads at under 11, 13 and 15, which have been set up to allow players with the potential to play county cricket in the future, access to high quality coaching and matches.
Each performance squad has a 12 week winter coaching programme to help progress their game and prepare for the forthcoming season.
In the summer the under 13, under 15, under 18 girls play in ECB T20 and one-day competitions. The younger age groups also attend a festival at Malvern College. This provides a great opportunity to play counties outside of those they face in their ECB competitions.
The under 11s and under 13 and under 15 development squads all play in friendly fixtures. These games are arranged with local counties and cricket clubs where we feel the players will get the right balance of challenge and development opportunities.
In addition to playing for their county age group teams, some of our most promising youngsters also play for the Gloucestershire Women, who compete in the ECB County Championship and T20 competition.
