GLOUCESTERSHIRE Girls Under-11s were in fine form, completing back-to-back home T20 friendly victories against Staffordshire.
In the first clash, the visitors were bowled out for 64 after losing the toss with Elsie Molyneux, Lucy Gater, Jess Bailey and Charlotte Davison all taking two wickets ahead of Gloucestershire sealing the win with almost five overs to spare.
Gloucestershire batted first after winning the toss in the second game, and reached 107-4, opener Hettie Grindal top scoring on 21 while Poppy Farrell (18 not) and Lucy (16 not) also made important contributions.
Staffordshire were then pegged back to a reply of 64-6, Elsie Shute finishing with fine figures of 3-11 from four.
It was a tough day for Gloucestershire Women who were beaten by both Wales and then Somerset in their latest ECB group games.
Opener Bea Ellis top scored on 17 as Gloucestershire came up 16 runs short against Wales, and Somerset then completed a six-wicket victory despite Rebecca Halliday’s superb unbeaten 48 from 53.
