UNBEATEN half centuries from Jimmy Twemlow and Ben Rivers helped Rockhampton chase down a target of 167 with nine balls in hand to clinch a fine four wicket win at Twyford House in the Marsh Commercial U16 T20 South Performance division.
Twemlow retired on 52 off 36 and Rivers made way with exactly 50 runs to his credit from only 23 balls after the pair helped give Rockhampton’s reply a turbo-charged start. Earlier, captain Henry Trotman retired on 50 for Twyford who were bowled out for 166.
Thornbury emerged seven-wicket victors at Winterbourne, captain Zain Syed unbeaten on 53. And in the North Performance division, champions Dumbleton eased past Great Rissington by eight wickets.
In the South Performance division of the Vitality U19 T20 in Association with Stuart Turner, Bristol were bowled out for 36 before succumbing to a nine-wicket setback against Golden Hill, Dan Broome starring with terrific figures of 5-8 from four overs.
