Get into Cricket – Club Testimonial

“The Get into Cricket Scheme has been fantastic for our club.

It has been the perfect way for some of our keen wannabe youth coaches to access a variety of courses and contribute to the club.  Ideal for those wanting to complete aspects of their Duke of Edinburgh volunteering too.

We found that it made a huge difference to what we were able to offer our younger age groups this season.  It allowed Get into Cricket volunteers to support Under 7s and Under 9s at our weekly Friday training as well as at our summer camps alongside our qualified coaches, which was brilliant as it helped continuity of friendly faces for our younger ones transitioning to summer camps for the very first time.

Huge thanks to Gareth and all at GCF.  I’m already promoting it for our U15 squad to take part next season.  It’s a great initiative which should be applauded.”

Get into Cricket – Participant Testimonial

“I really enjoyed taking part in the Get into Cricket scheme.

The training sessions were interesting and taught me a lot about different aspects of the club I’d never realised about before. It gave me confidence to help out with coaching sessions and around the ground too. It was a great way to get to know other players as well and I’m keen to consider more in-depth coaching courses in the future.”
