JACOB Moore completed the first century of his career while playing alongside father Ollie who was also celebrating his 50th birthday on a memorable day for Painswick 2nds in the AMS Gloucestershire County League.
Painswick’s side for their home Division Seven clash against Ruardean Hill also featured three other father-sibling pairings … Rob and Emily Austen, Andy and Chloe Barnard plus Gareth and Freddie Hall.
And this happy family day had a perfect ending with Painswick emerging 32-run victors, Jacob top scoring on 109 while Nick Marment weighed in with figures of 3-30.
Leaders Cam 2nds suffered a first reverse of the campaign, succumbing by three runs at home to Hatherley & Reddings 3rds.
Thornbury 2nds, top of Division One at the start of the day, went down by eight wickets away to Hawkesbury Upton for whom captain George Bailey hit a second successive century.
And that result enabled Aston Ingham to grab pole position courtesy of a 91-run home victory against Westbury-on-Severn, Anthony James continuing his impressive form with 121 and Oli Dennis claiming 4-44 from nine.
At the other end of the table, Cirencester are off the bottom after ending a run of seven successive defeats with a four-wicket home triumph over fellow strugglers Great Rissington.
Division Two high-flyers Tetbury were 37-run home winners over Apperley, James Meacham top scoring on 61 and following up with a return of 2-23 from six.
But Cheltenham 2nds, who started the day with the same number of points as the leaders, lost by 27 runs at Redmarley.
Jitesh Thammisetti plundered an unbeaten 105 from 83 (17 fours) for Ullenwood Bharat who trumped Cinderford St John by 78 runs in Division Three while leaders Dumbleton 2nds marched on with a 48-run success at Frampton-on-Severn.
Quedgeley & Hardwicke are the new leaders of Division Four after overcoming previous leaders Bourton Vale 2nds by seven wickets.
There was also a change at the top of Division Five with Kingsholm 2nds now occupying top spot following an eight-wicket home victory over previously unbeaten Whitmister.
Benet Sathyadass grabbed 3-12 from four as the visitors were rumbled for 124 ahead of opener Pavel Sharma (64 not) leading the charge to the spoils.
Parkend, meanwhile, broke their duck with a 116-run home hammering of Cheltenham Civil Service 2nds, captain Luke Aldridge (51) and Liam Brain (4-28 from eight) playing key roles.
Opener Jack Clement, meanwhile, plundered the highest individual innings in the league this season, finishing unbeaten on 187 off 122 (20 fours, nine sixes) for Division Six leaders King’s Stanley who went on to crush Birdlip & Brimpsfield by 185 runs, Gavin Dean claiming 4-18 from eight.
