AKSHAY Suresh and Bino Joly put on an unbroken 222 for Bristol New Eleven 2nds who romped to a 177-run victory away to Hampset 3rds to make it three from three in Division Nine East of the Martin Berrill Sports Bristol & District League.
Suresh reached 121 from just 83 balls (16 fours, four sixes) while Joly’s 118 came off 107 and included 18 boundaries as their side reached 335-3 from 40 after losing the toss.
Hampset, in reply, then battled against both Jacob Joy (4-37) and Amaljith Uthaman (3-24).
Lewys Ryan, meanwhile, battered 145 off 93 (22 fours, four sixes) for Bishopston 3rds who went on to overcome Bradley Stoke & Almondsbury 4ths by 104 runs in Division Seven North.
And in Division Eight West, opener Harry Bird’s 154 helped power Bristol 4ths to a 71-run home success over Barrow Gurney 2nds, Sai Patel also weighing in with 69.
Amol Ingle’s 140 for Old Caths came off 91 balls, and featured 14 fours and eight sixes, paving the way for a 265-run success away to Lodway 3rds in Division Nine West.
Openers George Amos and Neil Trescothick of Taveners cashed in on good batting conditions away to Hampset 2nds in Division Seven East.
Amos led the way with 134 from 113 (22 fours, two sixes) while Trescothick was bowled nine short of a century after facing 103 balls (11 fours, three sixes) and followed up with a return of 3-38 in a 35-run victory.
Ian Mollison batted all 40 overs for an unbeaten 122 from 134 (19 fours) for Frampton Cotterell 3rds but a total of 225-2 was comfortably within range for Bristol New Eleven 3rds who got over the line by six wickets in this Division Nine West clash with more than ten overs in hand.
Promoted Portishead suffered a first Senior Division setback of the campaign after being bowled out for 126 by Downend 2nds who dashed in by nine wickets, Ben Ford top scoring on 53.
Hanham and Winterbourne tied a thriller after being locked together on 192 runs.
Twyford House 2nds moved clear at the top of Division Two with a six wicket home triumph over their Bishopston counterparts, Matt Anthony shining with figures of 4-37.
And Bristol 3rds won by eight wickets away to Winterbourne 2nds, Luca Beynon unbeaten on 64.
One of the bowling displays of the day came in Division Five where Rashid Mahmood claimed 5-4 from just 2.3 overs to help dismiss Abbots Leigh for only 46, paving the way for Bristol Pakistanis 2nds to make it three from three thanks to an eight wicket triumph.
