GLOUCESTERSHIRE’S Jack Taylor cracked an unbeaten 111 to help guide Hatherley & Reddings to their first win of the summer in WEPL Premier Two Glos/Wilts.
Set a target of 218 at Painswick, the visitors were stuttering at 21-2 before Taylor took charge to secure the spoils, cracking 14 fours and three sixes as the victory was nailed down with almost five overs to spare.
Earlier, former county team-mate Benny Howell (59) and Jon Conolly (54 not) shone as Painswick rallied from 121-6, Ben McShane and Max Kelly taking three wickets apiece for Cheltenham who moved up to third at this early stage of the season.
Dan Holland, meanwhile, finished unbeaten on 134 from 145 as Dumbleton made it three from three with a seven wicket home triumph against Chippenham to go joint top with Royal Wootton Bassett.
The opener hit 18 fours and a six, and shared an unbroken partnership of 132 with brother and captain Myles (61) as the village side chased down a target of 243 with more than two overs to spare.
Ross Martin earlier captured 4-52, including the wicket of Gloucestershire Over 50s skipper Richard Trotman (68).
Captain Josh Breed led from the front with 4-29 from ten and an unbeaten 80 to seal a seven wicket home success over Goatacre while Tewkesbury suffered an eight wicket home reverse against Royal Wootton Bassett after being dismissed for 120.
Ollie Louch claimed 4-35 as promoted Downend secured their first win in Premier One, holding off Bristol by 39 runs.
Gloucestershire Academy wicketkeeper Zaman Shafi marked his Downend debut with an unbeaten 93 with brother Cyrus (64) and captain Callum Loud (63 off 22) also in form as the home side piled up 343-5 after winning the toss.
Bristol, in reply, were travelling well at 255-5 but in quick succession lost Josh Dinan for 99 (11 fours, five sixes) and Rishi Panchal for 107 off 117 (15 fours, one six) before Louch cleaned up.
Thornbury inflicted a 48-run defeat on champions Potterne, Josh Thomas hitting 77 and taking 3-25 from ten while Bedminster were four-wicket victors at Burbage & Easton Royal.
Bishopston made it two in a row in Premier Two Bristol/Somerset, seeing off OB Westbury by 36 runs, and Golden Hill trumped Taunton by ten runs, South African Imraan Manack capturing 4-35 from ten.
Bourton Vale and Langford made it three from three to share top spot in the Gloucestershire division.
South African Musa Twala’s unbeaten 100 off 91 (ten fours, three sixes) was the highlight of Bourton’s 47-run success at Hawkesbury Upton, Darrel Williams weighing in with 4-54.
And Langford cruised in by five wickets away to Charlton Kings for whom opener David Boon’s 115 from 121 (18 fours, four sixes) proved to be in vain.
Aston Ingham dispatched Gloucester by 138 runs, Chipping Sodbury emerged 200-run victors at Frocester 2nds and Stroud bowled out Thornbury 2nds for 110 ahead of romping in by ten wickets.
Newcomers Pak Bristolians made it three from three in Bristol & North Somerset, edging Brislington by four runs, Ismail Zia shining with 3-29.
They share top spot with Twyford House who won by 66 runs at Bedminster 2nds, captain Parik Shetty hammering 142 off 101 (13 fours, seven sixes) and taking 3-61.
Bradley Stoke & Almondsbury are up and running after trumping Bristol West Indian Phoenix by 41 runs, Knowle overcame Bristol 2nds by five wickets and Frenchay won by 115 runs at Bristol Pakistanis, Madu Ravichandrakumar finishing with 4-29 from six.
