Steve Silk / Chief Executive Officer

Steve joined the Gloucestershire Cricket Board in 2009 after two years as the Wiltshire Cricket Development Manager and 5 years in Local Authority Sports Development. Since 2009, Steve led the GCB to become incorporated (2010) and now has led the process to becoming a Charity. In this time the team has grown from 2 members of staff to 16 and has seen significant diversification of income, bringing many partners to support the charities great work.

Steve has a relentless drive and determination for continual improvement and supported by a great team, the charity goes from strength to strength. Specifically, Steve manages the managers of the charity, leads on all aspects of finance, governance and strategy, as well as overseeing all facility projects and capital grant projects.

Personally, Steve is an avid all round sports fan (especially for his beloved Wolverhampton Wanderers), a husband, a father of two little beauties and a player and volunteer at his local cricket club, Chippenham CC.
