It’s three from three for Gloucestershire Girls U15s

GLOUCESTERSHIRE Girls U15s made it three from three in their ECB County One Day group with a fine seven-wicket home win over Surrey who were rushed out for only 60 at Chipping Sodbury.

The visitors, who lost the toss on a damp day, were on the back foot from the start against Olivia Mackenzie and Jen Rivers, who both finished with 2-13 from six.

And there was no respite as Sophie Smith-Graham (2-4 from six) and Bella Herring (2-7 from 2.5) kept the pressure on with Taylor Hodgson and Abigail Bryan also taking wickets.

Prarthana Reddy led Gloucestershire (pictured) to the points with 25 after  openers Imogen (13) and Taylor (12) had given their side a solid start.

Gloucestershire also prevailed in a 15-over friendly, Maddie White top scoring on 29 in a total of 79-8 before Surrey were then restricted to a reply of 78-3, Prarthana’s three overs costing only six runs while Sophie Murray took 2-14 from three.

Gloucestershire Girls U13s and the Under 13 Development squad competed in festivals at King’s College, Taunton, finishing with identical records of two wins from five outings.

Mia Joicey produced the bowling display of the week to finish with 5-12 from four as the 13s dismissed Cheshire for only 67 en route to a nine-wicket win, opener Lucy Bull following up with an unbeaten 51.

And for the Development squad, Bea Sprague hit 73 off 55 in a 160-run success over the hosts while Bea Bending (3-8) and Primeshie Fernando (3-21) shone in a 127-run victory over Cornwall.
