Kings Stanley remain unbeaten in Division Four of the Gloucestershire League, but they were pushed all the way by Bourton Vale 2nds.
Fourth-placed Bourton closed on 237-7, just two runs short of table-topping Kings Stanley. Ed Mobbs had top-scored with 66 for Kings Stanley, who ended their innings with eight wickets down. Bertie Hall (45), Dev Gunti (43) and Dan Pullen (43) were Bourton’s main run-getters.
Ian Richardson made an unbeaten 72 as Cranham clinched a three-wicket win over Frocester 3rds. They chased down Frocester’s all out 173 with 10 balls to spare despite Ben Spyvee picking up 4-45. Earlier, Josh Roberts made 56 for Frocester.
A fine all-round performance by Jody Lawrence earned Poulton a 70-run win over Cheltenham Civil Service in Division One. Opening the batting, he made 74 of his side’s 229-9 and then picked up 5-36 in 7.1 overs as Service were dismissed at the start of the 39th over. Frankie Cheesewright claimed 3-30. Earlier, skipper James Newman made 52 for Poulton while Bradley Attwood took 3-34 for Service.
Ramearo Samuel ripped out Lydney’s middle and late order as Frocester 2nds enjoyed a 28-run win over Lydney. Samuel took 6-21 as Lydney were dismissed for 194 in the final over, despite opener Ben Ferguson making 69. Skipper Chris Whincup top-scored for Frocester with 73.
Andre Soma grabbed 5-22 as Quedgeley & Hardwicke were rolled over for 94 in 24.4 overs by Hatherley and Reddings 2nds in Division Two. Earlier, opener Sam Coote had made 90 of Hatherley’s 215, while Tom Parry (4-36) and Adam Hopkins (3-26) were the pick of the Quedgeley & Hardwicke bowlers.
Ullenwood Bharat gained a hard-fought 15-run win over Woodmancote after making 250. Toriqul Islam was their star with 109 before Mahesh Shetty took 4-46 as Woodmancote, who at one stage were 166-1, closed on 235-8. Adam Sercombe was their top scorer with 69. Earlier Will McNamara picked up 3-39 and Ryan Bignall 3-54 for Woodmancote.
Churchdown are the new leaders in Division Three after their six-wicket win over Rockhampton 2nds. Rockhampton were dismissed for 194 with J Mumford taking 3-23 and Harry Clements 3-48, while Sam Downes top-scored for Rockhampton with 55. Flynn Waller made an unbeaten 85 as Churchdown reached their target in 36.1 overs.
Previous leaders Charlton Kings 2nds were beaten by 17 runs by Newent after being dismissed for 251 at the end of the 39th over. Paddy Thompson made 117 and Will Trumper an unbeaten 57 in Newent’s 268-4. David Boon made 98 for Charlton Kings while Thompson (3-25), Ben Allard (3-45) and Liam Davies (3-50) were the pick of the Newent attack.
Chris Hill collected 5-29 as Division Five leaders Down Hatherley defeated Winchcombe by 44 runs. Winchcombe were dismissed for 210 despite being given a good start by openers Nawaz Mucadam (56) and Anthony Parker (50). Jiju Jayakumar took 3-37 while Richard Jones top-scored for Down Hatherley with 65.
Bilal Bilal smashed 13 sixes in his 61-ball 114 to help secure a three-wicket win for Lechlade over Langford 2nds despite Tommy Hewlett taking 3-30. James Haley made 55 for Langford while Bilal picked up 3-47.
Anthony Tiollaris returned 3-1 from five overs as Stroud 2nds beat Bibury by 115 runs. Stroud made 258-7 with Ed Markey (81) and Jamie Lomax (54) their main contributors. The big-hitting Adeko Collymore top-scored with 66 for Bibury, while Oliver Jones took 3-30 for Stroud.
