U11s NEEDED

The North Bristol Girls Hub brings together girls from clubs in the North Bristol and South Gloucestershire area that do not have a dedicated girls section.

They’re looking for a couple more U11s to join their hardball squad and play girls only cricket, in addition to any cricket they play at their ‘home’ club.

 QUIZ NIGHT

Uley are holding a fundraising quiz in the village hall on Saturday April 22 (7-10pm).  It costs £60 to enter a team of six. SPECIAL MATCH

Bibury are preparing for an interclub friendly on Monday May 8 – which will be the first game on the club’s new artificial wicket. The match will be followed by a barbecue.

CUP TIME

Four first round games are scheduled for Sunday in the Gloucestershire group of the Voneus Village Cup.

Almondsbury host Highnam Court, Cam are home to Kingsholm, Frocester entertain fellow WEPL members Winterbourne and Rockhampton welcome Gotherington.

In Oxfordshire, Langford will be away to Stanton Harcourt. All matches start at 1pm.

TRYING AGAIN

Gloucestershire Women, whose season-opener T20 double header away to Dorset last weekend was washed out, try again on Sunday away to Shropshire at Worfield (11am and 3pm).

DIARY DATE

Golden Hill will entertain WEPL league rivals Clevedon in the first round of the ECB National Club Championship on Sunday April 30. In the same group, Bristol West Indian Phoenix will travel to Keynsham (both 1pm).

AWAY DAY

60S GET UNDERWAY

Gloucestershire’s three Over 60 sides open their bid for county championship success on Tuesday April 25.

The first XI are away to Wiltshire (noon), the 2nds take on Somerset at North Perrott (12.30pm) and the 3rds host their Somerset counterparts at Stowell Park (1pm).
