DINNER DATE

FREE SESSIONS

Chipping Sodbury’s winter training programme for women and girls gets underway at Brimsham Green School on February 24 (8-9pm), running through to March 31. The sessions (£5) are open to players of all ages and abilities with new beginners able to take advantage of attending  their first three sessions free of charge. The funeral of Graham Bateman, who ran the Bristol & District’s cup and plate competitions for 40 years, will be held at South Bristol Crematorium on Wednesday March 1 (10.30am) with a wake following at St Anne’s Boardmill Social Club, BS5 9RN (11.30am).
