New kit courtesy of EESI drives Gloucestershire Javelins to title

The Gloucestershire Disability County Teams were really excited to receive their new playing and training kit, kindly sponsored by EESI Group Services.

In Gloucestershire we have two disability county teams, both are Super 9s, in that they play soft ball cricket.  The Javelins is our performance team, and play in the Regional South West S9s league under standard 35 over rules and the Meteors which is our development team that play festivals and friendly matches.

The Javelins have had a fantastic season in their new playing kit and won the Regional South West Final by beating Somerset on Sunday at Hawkesbury Upton CC.

EESI Group Services are experts at designing and installing effective electrical, mechanical and management systems to properties and facilities across the UK. Their services range from delivering electrical and mechanical solutions and maintenance for buildings and facilities management and energy saving to reduce your carbon footprint and lower your energy costs.

EESI were interested in sponsoring the Gloucestershire County teams, and offered to sponsor their kit for 2 years. Everyone has received playing and training kit. Jane Beckerleg and Derek Hyett came along to a training session, met the teams and very kindly presented the playing kit to each player.

Jane Beckerleg, EESI financial director and CEO said:

“We are immensely proud to sponsor the team this year and very pleased to see how smart the new kit looks.”

Carole Polley, Gloucestershire Disability Teams manager said:

“I would just like to say a big thank you to EESI for sponsoring our disability teams, everyone looks really smart and professional in their new kit and are very proud to wear it.

The sponsorship will really help the teams going forward and hopefully will encourage more players to come and join us in the future.”

Later this year, we will be holding trials for the county disability teams, not only for the Super9s soft ball teams but also for a D40 team, which is the hardball team we hope to form for next season.
