Stuart Canvas Glo’shire Cup final to be held at Seat Unique Stadium

THE final of the Stuart Canvas Gloucestershire Cup is to again be staged at Gloucestershire’s home venue, the Seat Unique Stadium.

The competition’s first semi-final is scheduled to take place on Sunday (1pm) when Stroud will host Bedminster with Bishopston entertaining Hatherley & Reddings in the other half of the draw on August 21.

The final will take place on Saturday September 10.

Frenchay and Langford, meanwhile, are through to the final of the Stuart Canvas Gloucestershire Trophy which will be hosted by Frocester on August 14.

Frenchay were six-wicket victors at Kingsholm while Langford defeated Bristol Pakistanis by 19 runs, Aaron Court top scoring on 63 and Jack Brown capturing 4-38 from eight.

BRISTOL will be bidding for a place in the last eight nationally when they travel to Bridgwater on Sunday for the South West area finals of the ECB’s Club T20.

The WEPL champions have been drawn against Bradnich, of Devon, in the opening semi-final (10am) with the victors going on to face St Just (Cornwall) or Newport.

The final is due to begin at around 4pm.

THE Bristol & District’s finals day takes place at Cleeve on Sunday.

First up is the Bateman Trophy final at 10.15am between holders Pucklechurch and Churchways, with the Tony Hitch Cup play-off between Bristol West Indian Phoenix and Stapleton following at around 2pm.
