Clatworthy wins June Volunteer of the Month Award

Carson’s and Mangotsfield’s Hannah Clatworthy has picked up the second Volunteer of the Month Award for June.

Hannah was presented with a £100 Cote voucher by the GCF’s Workforce Development Officer Gareth Dawson for her outstanding contribution to club cricket this summer.

The club’s Youth Co-ordinator Tim Ravenscroft explained:

“Hannah is one of the driving forces behind Carsons & Mangotsfield CC’s Youth Section. Youth Registrar, Safeguarding Officer, scorer for multiple age groups and adult Saturday teams, Team Manager for our u13, facilitates youth kit purchases, mediator between club and parents…alongside being taxi driver to her own three children who play! She is a one person tour de force without whom our parents and children probably wouldn’t have the outstanding opportunities they experience at our club.”

On accepting the £100 Cote voucher, a delighted Hannah said:

“Thank you to the GCF for this award which I was surprised and humbled to receive. Thank you also to Tim our junior coordinator who nominated me. Tim himself if the hardest working volunteer I know and a great colleague and friend. Volunteering at Carsons and Mangotsfield is a privilege due to all the wonderful club members, players – senior and junior, and parents- who all make it a great club to be a part of.”

Gareth Dawson, added:

“Its fantastic to present Hannah with the second Volunteer of the Month Award. She performs a multitude of roles at the club, and is another example of an individual highlighting how much work volunteers continue to do to ensure the day to day running of their local club.”
