CAPTAIN Sophie Smith-Graham and Xanthe Bolam (pictured above) both scored hundreds for Dumbleton who eased past Hatherley & Reddings by 30 runs in the ECB Girls U19 Club T20.
Xanthe was run out for 101 off 64 (20 fours) while Sophie was unbeaten on exactly 100 from 61 (18 fours, one six) as they shared an opening partnership of 245 in a tremendous total of 251-1 after losing the toss.
Hatherley battled bravely in reply, reaching 221-7 thanks to half centuries from Sophie Webster and Eloise Maggs.
Dumbleton will now be home to Apperley in the group quarter-finals on July 4.
KINGSHOLM’S Luke Sudlow thumped an unbeaten 153 but it was not quite enough as Gloucester AIW closed out a nine-run home win in the first round of the First Class Comms Gloucestershire Trophy.
Sudlow faced 124 balls and struck 22 fours along with three sixes, sharing a fourth wicket stand of 184 with Matt Cayless (71).
But AIW prevailed, Mohammad Saleh taking 3-42 from eight after opener Ali Khalid had earlier top scored on 73.
AIW now have a home tie in the next round, against Lydney who saw off Pak Bristolians 2nds by 102 runs.
Cirencester chased down a target of 243 at home to Frenchay to ease through by five wickets with more than four overs to spare, Declan Rugg unbeaten on 97 from 88 (13 fours).
Dan Evans had earlier top scored with an unbeaten 108 for the visitors off 98 (13 fours, four sixes).
Apperley and Golden Hill 2nds received walkovers, against Bristol West Indian Phoenix 2nds and Rockhampton, respectively.
FROCESTER, who last month defeated Bristol in the delayed 2024 final to become champions, begin their defence of the First Class Comms Gloucestershire Cup with a home tie on Sunday against Tewkesbury.

SUNDAY is group final day in the National Village Cup with teams battling it out to keep alive their hopes of a big day out at Lord’s.

GOLDEN Hill beat Pershore by 60 runs to book a home group semi-final against Bath in the ECB Women’s Club T20.
The Bristol club rattled up 175-3 after winning the toss, opener Sally Phelps hitting 75 and captain Mirre van der Werf an unbeaten 66. Sarah Walsh was then the pick of the Golden Hill attack with figures of 2-18 from four.
TEWKESBURY defeated Frocester and then hosts Chipping Sodbury to book their place in WEPL’s finals day and keep alive hopes of qualifying for the first national round of the ECB’s Club T20.
Also through are Potterne and Swindon while Bedminster and Midsomer Norton both won their pools but will now play off against each other, on a date to be announced, for the last place at finals day, on July 13.
Bedminster displayed tremendous fire power to qualify for this play-off, Shay Sainsbury thumping an unbeaten 74 from only 23 (five fours, eight sixes) in a ten-wicket humbling of Bristol West Indian Phoenix.
And Jack Henderson followed up with 111 from 60 (eight fours, nine sixes) in a two-run pool final defeat of Bristol.
Bristol reached this group final thanks to an 82-run defeat of Twyford House that included a remarkable 127 off 54 by Tommy Probert (15 fours, seven sixes).
The venue for WEPL finals day will be announced after the Bedminster-Midsomer Norton playoff.
