We aim to improve peoples’ lives through the power of cricket, by developing, and delivering fun, safe, inclusive year-round cricket activity for people of all abilities in both urban and rural locations.

It is an exciting time for cricket as the game continues to evolve and reach new audiences in the heart of communities. The Urban Cricket Development Officer will play a key role in the reimagining of the game of cricket within the county as part of our 5-year strategy ‘Inspiring Gloucestershire’, with a focus on the communities of Bristol and Gloucester.

The Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation have an opening for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated and friendly team. We are looking for someone who has Sports Development or Community Development experience; someone that understands the role that sport has to play in todays society and the impact that it can have on peoples’ physical and mental wellbeing.

If you have strong team skills and are confident working unsupervised using your own initiative, this is the role for you. If you like building and nurturing relationships to create positive impact in peoples’ lives in their communities, this is the role for you. As a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm, coupled with good administration and organisational skills, you can be successful in this highly rewarding role.

If shortlisted, the second stage will request you to submit your CV and covering letter to enable final shortlisting for invitation to face to face interviews, which will include tasks and a structured interview.

Key Dates

  • Shortlisting will take place during the middle part of the following week and contact will be made with all applicants by end of play on Friday, 24th June.
  • Interviews will take place at the Seat Unique Stadium, Nevil Road, Bristol, BS7 9EJ, the week of Monday, 27th June.
