Stroud win Gloucester Indoor League

Stroud CC were crowned winners of the Gloucester Indoor League, when they defeated Tewkesbury by 35 runs in the final at Hartpury University.

Batting first, Stroud reached 139 for 2 in their 10 overs, with the top 3 all retiring having scored 25. In reply Tewkesbury were always struggling as they slipped to 40 for 5. A hard hitting 54 from Brandon Coates edged them closer to the score, but in the end it wasn’t enough.

In getting to the final Stroud had come top in their group before beating Kingsholm in the first semi final, whilst Tewkesbury came top of their group and defeated Painswick in the second semi-final.
