DUMBLETON hope to move a big step closer to another dream day out at Lord’s when they host Cuckney on Sunday in the quarter-finals of the Voneus Village Cup.
The Gloucestershire club, who lifted the trophy in 2022 and were beaten finalists last year, will be aiming to maintain the momentum that has also taken them to the top of WEPL’s Premier Two Glos/Wilts division with seven rounds of games to go.
The action against the Nottinghamshire side, who on Sunday defeated Bronwydd by 49 runs, starts at 1pm.
GLOUCESTER AIW were given free passage into the semi-finals of the First Class Comms Gloucestershire Trophy when Frampton-on-Severn withdrew from the competition.
AIW will now be away to Apperley in the last four with Golden Hill hosting Cirencester in the other half of the draw, on July 27.
All four quarter-finals in the First Class Comms Gloucestershire Cup are due to take place on the same day.

MIDSOMER Norton clinched the WEPL T20 title at Swindon and will advance to the first round of the national ECB competition.
Finals day got underway with Norton bowling out Tewkesbury for 110 and sealing a comfortable eight-wicket win before Potterne piled up 183-5 and then bowled out the hosts for 85 to seal a 98-run triumph.
In the play-off final, Norton totalled 173-8 before Potterne were dismissed for 96 to complete a terrific day for the club who are currently top of WEPL Premier Two Bristol/Somerset and favourites to be promoted.
LUCY Bull hit 102 off 57 balls before retiring (15 fours, four sixes) as Apperley completed an 86-run win at Frenchay to reach the group semi-finals of the ECB Girls U15 Club T20.
The visitors totalled 190 without loss, Sienna Rayer weighing in with an unbeaten 51 in a total of 190 without loss.
In reply, Frenchay were all out for 107, Rudrakshi Barman top scoring on 25.
Next up for Apperley is a last four clash against Cheltenham, who received a walk-over against Dumbleton.
