OPENERS Nemika Benthota and Henry Driver-Dickerson gave Hatherley & Reddings the perfect start ahead of completing a 124-run victory away to Bristol in the last 16 of the First Class Comms Gloucestershire Cup.
Driver-Dickerson hammered 94 off only 44 (11 fours, five sixes) to help his side fly out of the blocks while Benthota compiled an unbeaten 117 from 102 (13 fours, three sixes) and there was also a late blitz from Harry Bloomfield (61 not).
That helped underdogs Hatherley pile up an imposing 346-6 from their 40 before Bristol came up well short, Joel Price finishing with 3-37.
The Cheltenham club will now be home in the last eight against Bristol West Indian Phoenix who dispatched Twyford House by 47 runs, captain Ashur Morrison (69) and Vishal Mamgai (50) shining before Rushabh Yadav claimed 5-35 from seven.
Bishopston, meanwhile, were six-wicket victors away to Bradley Stoke & Almondsbury, Will Thirkell taking 4-26 and opener Arnold Otwani compiling an unbeaten 83 to secure a trip to Dumbleton or Langford, who meet on Sunday.
Bedminster breezed past Cheltenham by five wickets, George Davey shining with 4-20 from eight before half centuries from Joe Millard and Jack Henderson secured a home quarter against Chipping Sodbury who were six-wicket victors away to Stroud where captain Tom Laver led from the front with an unbeaten 105 from 86 (19 fours, one six).
In the final tie of the day, Downend were five-wicket home victors against Golden Hill, Zaman Shafi finishing unbeaten on 106 from 128 (11 fours, three sixes) against his former club to book a trip to Pak Bristolians or Tewkesbury who go head-to-head on Sunday.
TWO quarter-finals in the First Class Comms Gloucestershire Trophy are due to take place on Sunday.
Golden Hill 2nds will host Bedminster 3rds while Apperley will be home to Lydney.
Langford 2nds, meanwhile, will welcome Cirencester on July 6 with Frampton-on-Severn entertaining Gloucester AIW on July 13.
DUMBLETON overcame early batting scares to eventually ease into the last 16 of the Voneus Village Cup with a five-wicket home victory over Pelsall.
Set a target of 191, the 2022 champions and last year’s beaten finalists were on the back foot at 35-3 in the 11th over before Adam Stuart (80) and Ollie Horne (65) turned the game around with a stand of 145, paving the way for a last-over triumph.

Earlier, Lewis Rollinson claimed 3-33 from six while there were also two wickets for Horne as Dumbleton booked a home clash on July 6 against Loddington & Mawsley who edged Aston Ingham by three wickets.
Alex Gooding finished unbeaten on exactly 100 off 107 (16 fours) while there was also 58 from Anthony James as Ingham totalled 222-4 after losing the toss on the road.
But Loddington timed their reply to perfection, completing the win with three balls in hand.

The Painswick team through to the last 16 of the Voneus Village Cup
Painswick, meanwhile, moved a step closer towards a Lord’s final with a nine-run victory away to Horspath.
Opener Alastair Conolly’s unbeaten 94 and 62 from Luke Woolway propelled the Gloucestershire club to a challenge of 226-6 which proved to be just enough as Jon Conolly (3-49) and Reece Morris (2-40, both from eight) led the bowling attack.
Painswick will now be home to Goatacre who won a low scoring encounter at Perranporth by five wickets.
APPERLEY Girls began their defence of the ECB U15 Club T20 title with an eight-wicket home defeat of Coalpit Heath.
The South Gloucestershire club reached 149-3 after losing the toss, Mia Joicey anchoring the innings with an unbeaten 83 from 75 (15 fours) as Lucy Bull took 3-29.
And Lucy then stepped up with the bat, cracking an unbeaten 85 from 50 (10 fours, four sixes) as she and Sienna Rayer (53) put their side into the group quarters where they will be away to Frenchay or Port Talbot Town, who meet on July 6.
Also into the last eight are Dumbleton and Cheltenham who are scheduled to go head-to-head on July 13.
MIDSOMER Norton beat Bedminster by 32 runs in a play-off at the Clanage to become the final club to qualify for WEPL’s T20 finals day.
Jake Roberts top scored on 55 as Norton reached 145-6 ahead of the Bristol club coming up short, Paul Robbins bagging 5-26 from his four.
Norton, Swindon, Potterne and Tewkesbury will now battle it out on July 13 for a place in the first national round of the ECB Club T20, at a venue to be announced.
